Is MailHarvest Pro legal to use?▼
MailHarvest Pro extracts publicly available email addresses from the open web — the same information anyone can see by visiting a webpage. The tool itself is legal. How you use the emails is your responsibility. We recommend only contacting business email addresses for legitimate B2B outreach, and always including an unsubscribe option in compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR and CASL regulations.
Does my data get sent to your servers?▼
No. Everything runs entirely on your machine inside your browser. We have no servers that receive your extracted emails. The only external calls the extension makes are for license verification (Cloudflare Worker), DNS validation (Google DNS / Cloudflare DNS), and optional Google Sheets sync. We never see what emails you collect or what sites you visit.
How is this different from Hunter.io or Apollo?▼
Hunter and Apollo query pre-built databases of emails that were crawled months ago. MailHarvest Pro extracts emails live — right now, from pages that loaded today. It also reads PDFs, Excel files, CSVs and Word documents that no database has ever indexed. And unlike competitors, your data never leaves your machine — they store and sell your search history, we don't.
What happens when the 30-day trial ends?▼
After 30 days the extension drops to the free tier automatically — 10 searches/day, 25 email export max. Your existing emails stay in the extension. To restore full access, activate a paid key from your Gumroad purchase in the Settings tab. No account needed — just paste your license key.
Does it work on Chrome and Edge?▼
Yes. MailHarvest Pro is available on Microsoft Edge now and Chrome approval is pending. Both versions are identical in features. The extension will not run on other browsers like Brave, Firefox or Safari as it is locked to your installed extension ID for security.
What does the Business plan's 10 seats mean?▼
One Business license key can be activated on up to 10 different browsers. Perfect for agencies or sales teams where multiple people need access. Each browser gets its own independent collection — seats reset automatically after 30 days so you're never permanently locked out.
Does it work without an internet connection?▼
Partially. Email extraction from pages you browse, PDF processing and the scoring engine all work offline. MX validation (which requires DNS lookups) and Google Sheets sync require internet. The core extraction and export features work fully offline.
